Antoinette M. Lisa

Antoinette M.Lisa , 75 , of Bogota , N.J. passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov 12 , 2023.  Beloved daughter of the late Cornelius and Carmella “ Lillie “ Lisa .

Born in Jersey City and raised in both Hoboken and Bogota , N.J.. Ann graduated from Seton Hall University in 1971 with a B.S. in Elementary Education and immediately began her 30 year teaching career in the West New York school system where along with her “ in classroom “ teaching , she rose to Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools. Along the way, Ann continued her thrist for knowledge and obtained her Masters in Clinical Psychology and completed 60 post M.A. credits of the 120 needed for he PhD , from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Ann was humbled and very proud of the amount of “ old & new “ students that attended her retirement party in 2001 , many of which stayed in touch with her post retirement . This was a testament of her teaching ability , personality and the life long effect on her students.

Ann was also known for her devotion , love and care that she gave to her many  four legged canine  “ children “ thru the years ….  Dutchess , Molly , Pio  and Pepper. At the time of her death, she was survived by her beloved Chihuahua  rescue companion , Lili  who was  so named after her beloved mother . Ann is also survived by her brother  Nick Lisa , sister in law Judie Lisa and nephew Christopher  Lisa , all of Wayne , N.J. along with many beloved cousins that she spent countless hours with.

All will meet at St. Josephs RC Church , 115 Fort Lee Road , Bogota on Wednesday November  15th at 9:45 am,  for her funeral Mass at 10 am to be followed by internment at Holy Cross Cemetery , in North Arlington . In lieu of flowers a donation to the ASPCA or local animal shelter has been requested.
