Brendan Hennessy

Brendan Hennessy 83, formerly of Bogota, New Jersey and Melbourne, Florida. Born in Ballyduff, County Kerry, Ireland. Peacefully left this world September 5, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased in death by his loving wife Terry Murphy Hennessy of Tulla,, County Clare. Loving father to Michael(Barbara) Brendan, Elizabeth, William , Patricia, John and David. Adoring grandfather and great grandfather. Beloved and cherished by sisters Mary and Anne ( Eddie). Beloved and cherished by brothers Thomas, Augustine, and Anthony (Honor) and sister in law Eileen Hennessy. Predeceased in death by his parents Michael Joseph Hennessy and Sheila Shanahan Hennessy. Predeceased in death by his sister Kathleen and brother Paul, his brother Michael (Dolly), Teddy (Nellie) brother Patrick and sister in law Sheila. Nephews Dara and Andrew Hennessy. He will be greatly missed by his numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, many other relatives and friends here in the U.S. and Ireland. Brendan’s love of sports was a life long passion. Especially his love for hurling. Numerous accolades were bestowed upon him through his hurling and football career. Conversation was a very important part of his life and steadfast through the years hurling was an integral part of most conversations. Baseball was also a sport he most loved especially the Yankee’s. The family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00-9:00 PM on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Petrik Funeral Home, 140 Palisades Ave, Bogota, New Jersey. There will be a funeral service at 8:30 PM (at Petrik Funeral Home)
