Daniel Browne

Daniel Browne, 90, of Bogota, New Jersey passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026 surrounded by his family. He is predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Pat. Devoted father to Eileen Dieckmann (predeceased Gary), Theresa McEwan (George) and Denise Santiago (Edwin). Adored Poppie and Grandpa of Sean and Kayla McEwan and Daniel and Patrick Santiago and predeceased by Brianna Santiago.

He was born in Clahane, Ballyduff, Ireland, County Kerry to the late Mary (nee O’Sullivan) and John Browne. With help of his Uncle James Lillis and sister, Ellen, he immigrated to the United States of America when he was 22 years old where he built a happy life with his wife and three daughters.

Daniel is predeceased by his sister Ellen and survived by his three brothers John (Betty),Thomas (predeceased Margaret), and Patrick Browne (predeceased Nell). Also, survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Daniel worked for Consolidated Edison for 28 years as a boiler mechanic.

After early retirement Daniel spent his free time in his garden to the delight of his friends and neighbors who enjoyed his vegetable harvest and blooming flowers.

His family will receive friends from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Petrik Funeral home, 140 Palisade Avenue, Bogota on Thursday, June 11, 2026.. Then on Friday June 12, 2026 at St. Joseph’s RC Church where Mass will be offered at 9:00 AM. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus at 10:30 AM.
