Richard J. O'Connor

Richard James O’Connor 53 of Bergenfield passed away April 30, 2023. Beloved husband of Valerie. Devoted father of Brett and Ashley. Dear brother of Diane Cibelli and husband Ken; Patti Pellegrino and husband Tom; Maureen Policano and husband Phil; Kevin; Andrew and wife Dianne; and the late Timothy and Peter. Beloved son of the late Eugene and Jane. Also survived by 19 nieces and nephews and 12 great-nieces and nephews. Richard was the captain of Prospect Fire Department and ex-captain of Bogota Hose Company Number 2. Richard worked for Bogota Fire Prevention and the hospitality business. He was past Grand-Knight of St. Johns Council 1345 of Knights of Columbus.
