Theresa O’Leary, beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Theresa was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her. With her beautiful smile, warm heart, and wonderful personality, she had a special way of lighting up every room she entered. Her kindness, laughter, and loving spirit touched countless lives, and she will be sorely missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

Theresa dedicated over 20 years of her life to working as a bank teller at Bogota Savings Bank, where she was beloved by her coworkers. The relationships she built there meant so much to her, and she considered her coworkers to be an extension of her family. Her warmth, dedication, and genuine care for others made her a cherished part of the bank community.

One of Theresa’s greatest companions was her beloved beagle, Reilly, who was much more than a pet. Reilly was her best friend and constant companion, bringing her comfort, happiness, and unconditional love. The bond they shared was truly special.

Theresa is survived by her loving sister, Jean Learn, and her husband George, her niece, Alyssa Masella, and her husband, Mark; her nephew, Christopher Learn; her brother John O’Leary, and his wife, Denise, along with their children, Brian and Kaitlyn; her brother-in-law, Harry Brockschmidt; her niece, Jessica Brockschmidt, and Jessica’s son, Brayden Reinhardt; She leaves behind a family who loved her dearly and will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.

Theresa was predeceased by her beloved parents, Helen and John O’Leary; her sister, Mary Brockschmidt; and her brother, Richard Burns.

Though Theresa’s passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved her, her beautiful smile, generous heart, and the joy she brought into the world will never be forgotten. She will live on in the memories of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she brightened.

Theresa will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
