Kenneth Martinez Obituary

Kenneth Martinez, 39, better known as “Kenny,” of Bogota, NJ passed away on May 29, 2022. Born in Elizabeth NJ. He worked for Master’s Pizzeria and loved what he did. Kenny was known for his contagious laugh and overall positive outlook on life. His favorite pastime was to spend time with his family and friends, as well as watch and quote movies, specifically comedies. He also had a passion for cooking and grilling, talking about politics, enjoyed watching and talking about sports, and was a die-hard Yankees and Giants fan. Kenny was an incredibly kind, warm-hearted, and giving person known for his willingness to always lend a helping hand to whoever needed it. He had a great sense of humor and was always the life of the party. Kenny entered any conversation with laughter, whether he knew you personally or not. A one-of-a-kind soul who greeted all with a, “Good Morning!”-no matter what time of the day it was. He would greet women with a “Hey Babe” or “Hey Hon” and men with a “Hey Sexy.” Only those special enough would be called "Papi" or “Papa”. Kenny was the family favorite. He adored his family. Loving son of Guillermo and Mirlian Martinez. Dear brother of William and his wife Veronica; Brian, Janellis and her husband Michael. Beloved Godfather and uncle to Brianna and Liam Martinez, and uncle to Kylie and Gabriel Martinez. Kenny is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and a plethora of cousins. A mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church in Bogota NJ on Thursday June 9, 2022 at 11am followed by a memorial service at Petrik Funeral Home 140 Palisade Ave., Bogota, NJ from 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kenny’s name to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
