March 13, 2021 8:29 PMWe have been fortunate to be Lester's next door neighbors for the past 3.5 years. Lester could come off gruff but underneath was a kind soul who educated us on his champion roses and his multiple interests. Though he never went to college, he was a lifelong learner, curious about the world, and always ready to share his opinions. His love for his family occupied his top life priority. Lester would regale us with 80 years of stories about his brothers, sister, daughter, son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. His daughter Laura honored Lester by taking care of him so beautifully and zealously as he grew older. We miss Lester's vibrant spirit.
