Peter E. O'Connor

Peter Eugene O'Connor was born February 26,1960 in Teaneck, New Jersey, the fifth of eight children of Eugene and Jane O'Connor.  He was a strong and active child with both a serious streak and a sharp wit.  All through his life he was one to help others, often with little thought for himself.  He was a dedicated friend to many, and a loving son, brother, and uncle.
He was an employee of Odyssey Auto Body and Picatinny Arsenal.  He eventually formed the company TK Automotive with his brother Tim and took it over after Tim's death.  TK was a fixture in the Englewood community and did much work for the police department and other civic entities.
He was a passionate football fan and a dry commentator on things politic, often with an unpredictable perspective. He took much pride in his cars and in tending to the family grounds.
He passed away on June 13th, 2020 after a progressive illness.  He is survived by his father, his sisters Diane (Ken),  Patti (Tom), and Maureen (Phil), and his brothers, Kevin, Andrew (Dianne), and Richard (Valerie). His fourteen nieces and nephews were a particular focus of his wit and affection - Nicole, Emily (Randy), Abby (Matt), Amy (Phil), Kelly (Kevin), Brett (Jessica), Ashley, Greg (Mary), Dan (Brooke), Stephen, Brianna (Josh), Samantha, Shane, and Timmy. He was great-uncle to Giovanna, Isabella, Connor, Ava, Caylee, Cora, Lucienne and Bennett. He was predeceased by his brother, Timothy and his mother, Jane.
