Robert A. Cole

Robert A. Cole 93 of Bogota passed away on February 27, 2022. Before retiring in 1993, he was the Superintendent of the Bogota DPW, where he worked for 20 years. Prior to that he was a mechanic for W&S Motors and opened his own garage in the late 50's. With the close of that business, he worked in northern NJ and NYC repairing dictaphone recording machines. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Bogota VFW. Besides spending time with his family and friends, Bob loved reading, doing puzzles and playing cards. In his younger years, he enjoyed gardening, working on machines or engines and especially body surfing the waves of LBI. Bob was the devoted husband of Gloria nee Brizzolara. Loving father of Catherine Zelinsky and husband Paul; Robert Cole, Gloria Corrigan and husband John; and Helen Cole. Beloved grandfather of Lynne Zelinsky; Jason Zelinksy and wife Kelly; Kevin Corrigan and fiance Kristi; and Cole Corrigan. "Opa" to great granddaughters Camryn and Morgan. Bob will also be deeply missed by his extended family including nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and wonderful neighbors and friends. The funeral will leave Petrik Funeral Home, 140 Palisade Avenue, Bogota, Thursday morning at 11 for the funeral Mass at St. Joseph's RC Church at 11:30. Entombmement Hackensack Cemetery.
